termijn. Dat weet je ondertussen waarschijnlijk al wel. En als ik dat zeg, dan is er af en toe iemand die reageert met: \u201cMaar ik ken iemand bij wie het w\u00e9l gelukt is! Het is dus niet onmogelijk! Je moet gewoon blijven proberen!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Blijven proberen \u2026 Ha! Alsof ik dat niet gedaan heb. <strong>Ik heb 20 jaar lang geprobeerd om af te vallen, maar ik ben nog altijd dik.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Sommige mensen kunnen precies niet begrijpen dat niet iedereen die dik is WIL afvallen. Ik wil helemaal niet op dieet gaan. Ik heb dat de helft van mijn leven geprobeerd en dat is meer dan genoeg tijd en energie die ik daaraan verspild heb.<\/p>\n<p>Ook al zou het in theorie kunnen lukken, dan nog heb ik er geen zin in. <strong>Di\u00ebten heeft me absoluut geen betere levenskwaliteit gegeven.<\/strong> Integendeel, het heeft me alleen maar een verstoorde relatie met eten en mijn lichaam gegeven. Iets waar ik nu nog altijd de gevolgen van draag. Waarom zou ik dat opnieuw willen doen?<\/p>\n<p>Maar dat snappen veel mensen precies niet. Zij zijn ervan overtuigd dat \u00e1lles beter is dan dik zijn. Dat dikke mensen alles moeten proberen om af te vallen en dun(ner) te worden, omdat ze zich z\u00e9lf niet kunnen voorstellen dat je jezelf graag kan zien als je dik bent.<\/p>\n<p>En ik begrijp dat wel. Ik geloofde het vroeger ook, vandaar dat ik zolang op dieet gestaan heb. <strong>Maar zelfs als je dat aan mensen uitlegt, kunnen ze maar niet vatten dat niet alle dikke mensen willen afvallen.<\/strong> Dat vind ik best triest.<\/p>\n<p>Dikke mensen die niet willen afvallen, zijn volgens mij nog altijd een minderheid in onze maatschappij. En zolang onze maatschappij zo anti-dik blijft als ze nu is, gaat dat jammer genoeg niet zo snel veranderen.<\/p>\n<p>Toch zijn er genoeg mensen die de keuze w\u00e9l al gemaakt hebben. Die ervoor kiezen om te stoppen met di\u00ebten, om hun leven te leiden in het dikke lichaam dat ze nu hebben, om weer vrij te zijn. Ik hoop dat jij ook een van die mensen bent.
